Corey was chosen as student of month for October – he was selected by one of his teachers for “showing great kindness to his peers” . He never refuses to assist another student with an assignment in class.
Corey is very conscientious in his co-op student role and passes this sincerity on to his fellow co-op students. His supervisors at co-op are very pleased with his dedication and commitment to the job. Corey is a solid student both in the classroom and on the job !
Emily was selected for month of November. She was chosen for showing tremendous creativity in a number of ways within the school. She wrote a moving poem for her class performance at the Remembrance Day Assembly and at Empty Bowls Emily was part of two different skits and several short improv pieces. As the school’s G7 representative Emily organized the Mental Health Awareness week in November, planning creative events like mural-making and a coffee house.
Tyler , the selected student of the month for September, was chosen for his demonstration of Gryphon Spirit. He began his co-op in the Phys Ed department and was willing to help in any capacity. He showed initiative and interest in his co-op placement and was eager to learn his role. On any given day Tyler could be seen doing laundry, organizing the equipment room , setting up new fitness equipment or helping in the classroom to motivate students. All of these tasks were completed with a smile.
