Rotary Free Picnic September 15 2012

GRAVENHURST – It started with milk and now it’s a free picnic.

That’s the Gravenhurst Rotary Club – celebrating 75 years of community giving Saturday Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. a the Gull Lake Rotary Park, with a free picnic and games for children and adult.

There’s be a dozen different games throughout the park all afternoon – rain or shine.

And it’s all about Service Above Self – giving back and saying thank you without having their hands out.

“The community has been very good and generous to Rotary for 75 years,” says club president Steve Hayhurst. “And we want to give some more back.”

That’s on top of the all the community projects they’ve supported through thick and thin in town.

See some of the projects at the event centred around the Rotary gazebo picnic shelter they built a few years ago in the park.

It’ll be a fun day and everyone is welcome, says Hayhurst.
